Stiffness:This is a general term which may be applied tomaterials or structures. When a force is applied to a structure, thereis a displacement in the direction of the force; stiffness is the ratioof the force divided by the displacement. High stiffness means that alarge force produces a small displacement. When discussing thestiffness of a material, the concept is the same, except that stresssubstitutes for force, and strain substitutes for displacement; seemodulus of elasticity.
刚度是指物体在外力作用下抵抗变形的能力，刚度越高，物体表现的越“硬”。对不同的东西来说，刚度的表示方法不同，比如静态刚度、动态刚度、环刚度等。一般来说，刚度的单位是牛顿/米，或者牛顿/毫米，表示产生单位长度形变所需要施加的力。
